The procedure involves covering the gums and lips to protect them and then applying the whitening gel to the teeth. The gel is formulated to work in conjunction with a special whitening lamp and when exposed to the light, the gel breaks down and penetrates the enamel effectively removing stains and other discolouration.

Home whitening is particularly useful for busy lifestyles.
We offer the DAYWHITE ® system and in order to carry out this type of whitening treatment, the dentist will need to take impressions of the teeth. These moulds are then used to make clear fitted trays which cover the teeth and hold the whitening agent in contact with the teeth. The trays and gel can be collected from us a few days after the impressions have been taken. We recommend that the trays are used daily at first to achieve the desired colour (up to eight shades) and then at weekly or monthly intervals to maintain the colour.
